Tamworth Regional Landscape Association's AGM Highlights: A Night of Insight and Continuity

A notable highlight of the event was Professor Martin Toms' captivating presentation on landscape resilience, sparking thoughtful discussions among the engaged audience.

TRLA extends sincere gratitude to Professor Martin Toms for his enlightening presentation and acknowledges the outgoing committee for their dedication and hard work.

In a spirit of continuity, TRLA warmly welcomes back the incumbent executive office bearers for 2024. President Wayne Chaffey, Vice President George MacDonald, Treasurer Stephanie Cameron, and Secretary Nell Chaffey all continue their roles, providing stability and experienced leadership. The committee also includes the valuable contributions of Lyn Allen, Jean Cody, Heather Rancloud, John Simpson, Nicki Chirlian, Auralie Quade, and Fiona Kelly. Stephanie Cameron retains her position as the Public Officer.

While recognizing the achievements of the past year, the AGM set the stage for an exciting future under the continued guidance of the incumbent committee. TRLA looks forward to their ongoing efforts in advancing the association's mission and ensuring a resilient landscape for the Tamworth region.

As TRLA continues to thrive, the association expresses gratitude to all who attended the AGM, contributing to the success of this memorable evening and reaffirming their commitment to the region's landscape and community.

Thinking Ahead? Let’s Grow Together – Pre-Order Now for Spring and Autumn Plantings

Are you planning a revegetation, habitat or garden project for Spring 2025 or Autumn 2026? Now is the perfect time to get in touch and place your order.

At the Landcare Nursery, we grow to order, meaning early planning gives us time to propagate the species you need, grown from local provenance seed where possible. This ensures your plants will be healthy, robust, and ready when it’s time to go in the ground.

Why plan ahead?
Good communication helps us grow the right plants, in the right quantities, and align with the best planting windows for your site.

While most people target spring and autumn, winter planting is also a good option this year—with mild weather and consistent rainfall, conditions have been good for establishing new plantings.

Let’s chat about your project:

Our members often say that when you become part of Landcare, you’re not just joining a group, you’re becoming part of a family. The concept is so compatible with Australian culture it’s hard not to get involved! By becoming a TRLA member, you’ll be supporting our work, learning new skills, becoming part of the solution, and helping to make a difference for the future.
