Exciting New Resources for Education and Youth in the North West Region

We are thrilled to announce that Tamworth Regional Landcare is embarking on an exciting new initiative to establish resources aimed at education and youth engagement in North West NSW. Our goal is to inspire and empower the younger generation to take an active role in landcare and environmental stewardship.

Opportunities for Youth Involvement

New Intrepid Landcare Group: We are launching a new Intrepid Landcare group designed specifically for youth (aged 16-25). This group will provide a dynamic platform for young people to engage in hands-on landcare activities, develop leadership skills, and connect with like-minded peers.
School Initiatives: We are collaborating with schools in the region to integrate landcare principles into the curriculum. These initiatives will offer students practical experiences and knowledge about environmental conservation, sustainability, and community involvement.

We invite all interested youth, educators, and community members to join us in this exciting venture. Whether you are eager to participate in the new Intrepid Landcare group or wish to support our school initiatives, we welcome your enthusiasm and involvement.

Did you know (TRLA) run an Annual Small Grants program for Landcare activities connected to the Tamworth region.

Volunteer Landcare and Grassroots Community groups can apply up to $2,500 for activities that meet an objective of TRLA’s strategic plan with eight successful projects being awarded funds from across the region.
