Whether you're a keen amateur, a professional, or simply love taking photos on your phone, we invite you to get creative and showcase the beauty of the natural world around you. Explore grassy white box woodlands, rivers, billabongs, bush tracks, parks—or even your own backyard—and show us what biodiversity looks like to you.

  • Winners Announced: During Landcare Week in August 2025
  • Projection of Entries: All accepted photos will be publicly projected in Fitzroy Street Plaza during Landcare Week.

  • Open Category (all ages):
    🥇 First Prize: $300 Bay Park Photos voucher
    🎁 Additional prizes: Gift vouchers from the TRLA nursery
  • Junior Category (14 years and under):
    🎁 Exciting prizes to encourage our young photographers

💲 Entry Fee

  • $5 per entry form (up to 5 photos per form)
  • TRLA Members enter for FREE

🔗 How to Enter

  • Complete the online entry form via Jotform (link will be provided on our flyer and website)
  • Upload your photos with titles and short descriptions
  • Make your payment or enter your membership details

Photo Guidelines

  • Images can be taken on a camera or smartphone
  • Please upload high-quality images (at least 1 MB file size preferred)
  • Name each photo clearly (e.g., Sunset_on_Peel_River.jpg)

🔒 Terms & Conditions

  • By entering, you agree that TRLA may use your image (with credit) for future Landcare promotions, social media, and education
  • Copyright remains with the photographer

 The award-winning film Just A Farmer will be screening in Tamworth Community Event Centre Darling Street Tamworth at 2pm on Saturday 7th March 26. This powerful film captures the struggles and triumphs of rural life, with a deep focus on mental health awareness and community resilience.

Applications are now open for the Tamworth Regional Landcare Association Small Grants Program — a great opportunity to bring your local environmental or community project to life. Funding is available for practical, on-ground activities that support biodiversity, sustainability, and community engagement across our region. Meet Clancy Lester (The Bee Man) - Coming To Tamworth

If you’ve heard the buzz about native bees lately, chances are you’ve come across Clancy Lester — affectionately known as “The Bee Man.” Clancy is an environmental educator and researcher, focusing on Australia’s incredible native bees!

Our members often say that when you become part of Landcare, you’re not just joining a group, you’re becoming part of a family. The concept is so compatible with Australian culture it’s hard not to get involved! By becoming a TRLA member, you’ll be supporting our work, learning new skills, becoming part of the solution, and helping to make a difference for the future.

Did you know (TRLA) run an Annual Small Grants program for Landcare activities connected to the Tamworth region.

Volunteer Landcare and Grassroots Community groups can apply up to $2,500 for activities that meet an objective of TRLA’s strategic plan with eight successful projects being awarded funds from across the region.
